Salafi
Should it not be noted that Salafis take a very negative view to Women having any rights, and also that Salafi's pray like Hanafi women? Music ringtones 195.7.55.146/195.7.55.146 10:28, 3 Mar 2005
:"pray like Hanafi women"? I think you are talking about Saudis and others not folding their hands? That's not because they are praying like Hanafi women, it's because they are from a Maliki background; and most Malikis pray that way—for example, all of sub-saharan African Muslims were also traditionally Maliki, even though they were not Salafi-influenced till very recently.Dani Summers IFaqeer/—Bollywood ringtones User:IFaqeer/iFaqeer Tug It Bitch User talk:IFaqeer/(Talk to me!) 17:15, Mar 3, 2005
Neutral Point of View
This article has had to be reverted twice in the past few days after disparaging and non-neutral text was inserted (and then re-inserted) regarding so-called "neo-Salafis". Any user wishing to expand on this issue should try to approach the matter with a neutral point of view, as per Wikipedia's encyclopedic standards. :Prick Teases 24.193.225.39/User:24.193.225.39 continues to revert this article and add non-neutral text referring to the "self-righteousness" of the neo-Salafis and how it "sickens" those who come across them. I'd rather not get caught up in an edit war over this. Hotlink caller ringtones User:Rhymeswithgod/Rhymeswithgod 08:59, 23 Dec 2004
Word Meaning
My Arabic is close to non-existent. Does the word ''Salaf'' really mean "predecessor"? Isn't the term from one of the canons (Handjob Coeds Qur'an, Alltel ringtones Sunna, Cute Allie Seerah) and thus from The Prophet's time? (Which would make it odd to mean "predecessor".)
:It does indeed mean forebear or predecessor. Cingular Ringtones Rhymeswithgod/Rhymeswithgod 08:59, 23 Dec 2004
